NC IDEA is an independent private, 501(c)(3) foundation whose vision is to help North Carolinians achieve their entrepreneurial ambition to start and grow high potential companies. NC IDEA fosters sustainable economic development with competitive grants and programs for entrepreneurs and funding to strengthen the North Carolina entrepreneurial ecosystem. NC IDEA offers grant funding and support on the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

Resilient Ventures is an early-stage, committed capital fund supporting African American founders. We are joining the historic movement to disrupt systemic economic injustice by expanding access to capital, networks, and opportunities.

Access to healthy food and affordable housing are crucial to North Carolina’s overall physical, emotional, and economic health. Leaders across the state have repeatedly raised questions about how to ensure communities have necessary resources. The North Carolina Investment Map represents a new way of thinking about community investments: showing stakeholders how to align contributions locally to build community capacity and reduce historical inequities.

A Better Wake started with a collection of leaders from a diverse cross-section of organizations – all with the desire to address racism and dismantle any systems that negatively impact black and brown residents. Participating leaders believe that this renewed energy for change is more than a moment, but rather a movement. This site was commissioned by the Raleigh Chamber.
